Dr. Ross Johnson moved around a lot as a young man, but he spent most of his time in Minnesota and Iowa. After many years of relocating, Dr. Johnson was commissioned into the United States Air Force, where he served on Active Duty for four years and continues to serve with the Active Reserves.
One of my assignments was at Ellsworth AFB. My grandfather was from Isabel, SD, and I had always wanted to see what it was like to live on the prairie (having only visited as a child). I ended up meeting my wife, who is from Lemmon, and loving Western South Dakota! I routinely tease my wife: "South Dakota … I didn't see that one coming!" My grandfather would be very pleased to have a grandchild living in his home state, and the best part, I now have family nearby and a place to call home. Something new for me!
After completing his orthodontic residency, Dr. Johnson went back to St. Paul, MN, to work with his good friend and mentor. While in St. Paul, Dr. Johnson practiced orthodontics in addition to treating temporomandibular disorders, which has become a passion. "Nothing quite satisfies like relieving someone of their pain – adults and children alike."
Our vision: To be a unified front in the creation of stable, pain-free bites that last a lifetime; to promote a team concept that creates an atmosphere of collaboration in the pursuit of excellence; to create smiles that can be shared with everyone.
